is there any python script to generate Bitcoin addresses from multiple 64 hex private key?

I have hundreds or thousands of private keys from my old corrupt btc wallets. It has I think thousands of hex private keys which I have saved in notepad ++, each of them have been saved each per line in Notepad ++. I need script which can convert them into BTC addresses(not as WIf) and generate output as a text file with btc addresses. WalletGenerator only allows 1 at a time. I am using python27. Many Thanks

Hey Bitcoiners, here are my short Python 3 scripts to generate a Bitcoin address.

A few months back I wrote some Python 3 scripts to generate Bitcoin addresses. They work just like Brainwallet does, and in fact are 100% comaptible with brainwallet -- you can copy the private key into brainwallet and expect everything to work.
I use these personally instead of brainwallet so that I don't even need to open a browser in order to generate some addresses. It now occurs to me that perhaps some of you would find a use for them, too.
I have two versions: the first one uses the OpenSSL's random number generator to generate addresses. That means it's unlikely to ever generate the same address twice. The second version hooks into the RNG and always returns the same bytes given a specified seed. That means it behaves similar to "Passphrase" option. It'll generate the same address given the same seed.

If someone can speak on the randomness of version 2, that'd be great.
Also, I haven't tested these on Windows.

Windows / Linux Guide to using Trezor with Bitcoin Core (HWI)

This is a guide to using your Trezor with Bitcoin Core. It may seem like more trouble than it's worth but many applications use Bitcoin Core as a wallet such as LND, EPS, and JoinMarket. Learning how to integrate your Trezor into a Bitcoin Core install is rather useful in many unexpected ways. I did this all through the QT interfaces, but it's simple to script. There is a much simpler guide available from the HWI github, and the smallest Linux TLDR is here
Unfortunately, I don't have access to a Coldcard or Ledger. I'm not sure how the setpin or -stdinpass parameters are handled on that HW.

( A ) Install TrezorCTL, HWI, and build GUI

You only need to set the wallet up once, but may repeat to upgrade

( A.I ) Download extract and install HWI

  1. Download and isntall Python
  2. Download https://github.com/bitcoin-core/HWI/archive/1.1.2.zip
  3. Extract it to a working folder (assumes C:\User\Reddit\src\HWI)
  4. Change Directory (cd) to working folder cd "C:\User\Reddit\src\HWI"
  5. Setup venv python -m venv .venv

( B ) Create a Trezor wallet in Bitcoin Core (testnet)

You only need to set the wallet up once, no private key data is stored, only xpub data

( B.I ) Retrieve keypool from HWI-QT

  1. Launch hwi-qt.exe --testnet (assuming testnet)
  2. Click Set passphrase (if needed) to cache your passphrase then click Refresh
  3. Select you trezor from the list then click Set Pin (if needed)
  4. Ensure your Trezor in the dropdown has a fingerprint
  5. Select Change keypool options and choose P2WPKH
  6. Copy all the text from the Keypool textbox

( B.II ) Create the wallet in Bitcoin QT

  1. Launch Bitcoin Core (testnet) (non-pruned) 2
  2. Select Console from the Window menu
  3. Create a wallet createwallet "hwi" true
  4. Ensure that hwi is selected in the console wallet dropdown
  5. Verify walletname using the getwalletinfo command
  6. Import keypool importmulti '' (note ' caging)
  7. Rescan if TXNs are missing rescanblockchain 3

( C.I ) Grab Tesnet coins

  1. Select the Receive tab in Bitcoin Core (testnet)
  2. Ensure that the Wallet dropdown has hwi selected
  3. Select Create new receiving address and copy address
  4. Google "bitcoin testnet faucet" and visit a few sites
  5. Answer captcha and input your addressed copied from C.I.3

( D ) Spending funds with HWI

This is how you can spend funds in your Trezor using Bitcoin Core (testnet)

( D.I ) Create an unsigned PSBT

  1. Select the Send tab in Bitcoin Core (testnet)
  2. Ensure that the Wallet dropdown has hwi selected
  3. Verify your balance in Watch-only balance
  4. Rescan if balance is wrong (see B.II.7) 3
  5. Craft your TXN as usual, then click Create Unsigned
  6. Copy the PSBT to your clipboard when prompted

( D.II ) Sign your PSBT

  1. In HWI-QT click Sign PSBT
  2. Paste what you copied in D.I.6 in PSBT to Sign field
  3. Click Sign PSBT
  4. Copy the text for PSBT Result

( D.III ) Broadcast your TXN

  1. Select the Console window in Bitcoin Core (testnet)
  2. Ensure that the Wallet dropdown has hwi selected
  3. Finalize PSBT: finalizepsbt
  4. Copy the signed TXN hex from the hex field returned
  5. Broadcast TXN: sendrawtransaction

Final Thoughts

I did this all through the GUI interfaces for the benefit of the Windows users. Windows console is fine, but the quote escaping in windows console is nightmarish. Powershell would be good, but that throws this on a whole another level for most Windows folks.
There is also the need to use HWI-QT due to a bug in blank passphrases on the commandline. You can work around it by toggling passphrase off or on, but again, it's more than I wanted to spell out.

recovering bitcoin from bip39 phrase

Hi, I miswrote my 24-word bip39 phrase and thus have about ~250 candidate phrases that all pass checksum. I was wondering if there is an automated way (i can program it it doesn't exist) to recover my wallet.
I'm using a nano ledger S. It is 24 words without any seed. I tried Ian's : https://iancoleman.io/bip39/
but am not sure what to search for.

One idea I was thinking is to go through all candidates, generate the master public key and check on blockchain.com to see if there are funds in that wallet. I already know how many bitcoin I have, so it should be easy to compare.

Please advise, and if I'm able to recover funds, I'll send a reward for your time and energy! thanks!

Accessing wallet never connected to Bitcoin Core

Hey there,
I've made a rookie error and deposited coins into a wallet which never connected to Bitcoin Core. I get that this is completely my fault, but would appreciate some help if possible.
What I did
I followed the installation instructions listed here for macOS. Everything seemed to run smoothly. I began tinkering with the joinmarket.cfg config and inadvertently set my blockchain_source to no-blockchain. I generated a wallet using the python wallet-tool.py generate command and then listed my addresses using the python wallet-tool.py wallet.jmdat command. I deposited Bitcoin into one of my addresses before realising that I wasn't correctly connecting to Bitcoin Core. When I set the blockchain_source back to bitcoin-rpc I get an error stating Failure of RPC connection to Bitcoin Core. Application cannot continue, shutting down. when attempting to run `python joinmarket-qt.py.
What should I do?
I'm not entirely sure how I am meant to be connecting to Bitcoin Core and if once I do connect, I'll be able to access my funds deposited to the wallet address listed earlier.
Would I be better off somehow exporting this wallet to another program (or whatever that process is)?
Any advice would be appreciated. Let me know if you have any questions.

How can asset tracing be accomplished with bitcoins and cryptocurrency? And how can this be regulated?

Digital Asset tracing may be accomplished with cryptocurrency intelligence solutions such as Cipher Trace and the ICE cryptocurrency intelligence program. FATF (Financial Action Task Force) embarked on a program of work from summer 2018 to June 2019 to strengthen and update the provisions dealing with virtual assets and virtual asset service providers. FATF updated Recommendations in October 2018 and Guidance in June 2019 include several new obligations that apply to VASPs. The so-called “Travel Rule” FATF announced in October 2019 agreed on the assessment criteria for how it will assess countries’ compliance with the new global standards. Under the Travel Rule, the transmitter’s financial institutions must include and send information in the transmittal order such as Information about the identity, name, address, and account number of the sender and its financial institution Information about the identity, name, address and account number of the recipient. The ”Travel Rule” is effectively being applied to cryptoasset transfers when there is a virtual asset service provider (VASP) involved. The scope of focus has broadened from “convertible” virtual assets to any virtual asset. Countries should make sure businesses can freeze crypto wallet or exchange accounts for sanctioned individuals.
Question 2:
Which kind of software or technical knowledge is required to develop cryptocurrency?

It depends on the type of cryptocurrency you wish to create, as well as the preferred functionality and features, and characteristics of the token or coin (i.e. will it be pre-mined, what type of hashing or cryptographic algorithm will be used (i.e. proof of work (POW) or proof of stake (POS) or a hybrid of both), etc. Likewise, it is useful to utilize a programming language that is broadly used and supported by a vast and active development community; more data could be found here: more information could be found here: top programming languages in 2015/2016, published by IEEE here, and TIOBE. Hypothetically, you can utilize any programming language to make cryptocurrency digital money, however, the most widely recognized are C, C++, Java, Python, Perl. The beauty of cryptocurrencies is that you can literally have access to the entire Bitcoin and Ethereum open-source programming scripts, and create your alternate coin (altcoin).
Question 3:
Hello all, I want to know about the current status of the European Union Blockchain initiative in currency or public identity.

That would depend on the specific consensus algorithm used for the confirmation of transactions. The consensus algorithm is part of the blockchain protocol that defines the rules on how consensus is reached on that blockchain. In our opinion, the biggest obstacles are volatile cryptoasset prices, complicated UIs, undefined blockchain technology standards. Moreover, the legislation around the technologies is still now being developed and does not offer legal certainty for broader adoption.
Question 8:
Limitations to Blockchain Usability in the Public Sector?

Blockchain in the Public Sector, like any other innovative concept with big potential, cannot be a solution to every problem. Users and developers are still figuring out technological and managerial challenges. From a technological perspective, some aspects such as platform scalability, validation methods, data standardization, and systems integration must still be addressed. How does digital currency manage the issue of money laundering?

Depends under which context you are looking at the term digital currency. A digital currency usually refers to a balance or a record stored in a distributed database, in an electronic computer database, within digital files or a stored-value card. Some examples of digital currencies are cryptocurrencies, virtual currencies, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), and e-Cash. The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is an intergovernmental body established in 1989 on the initiative of the G7 to develop policies to fight money laundering. Since 2001 FATF is also looking into terrorism financing. The objectives of FATF are to set standards and promote effective implementation of legal, regulatory and operational measures for combating money laundering, terrorist financing, and other related threats to the integrity of the international financial system. FATF is a “policy-making body” that works to generate the necessary political will to bring about national legislative and regulatory reforms in these areas. FATF monitors progress in implementing its Recommendations through “peer reviews” (“mutual evaluations”) of member countries. It is the global watchdog for anti-money laundering & counter-terrorist finance. In June 2019, it updated its guidance paper for Virtual Assets Service Providers (VASPs) regarding the transfer of digital assets. There was an insertion of a new interpretive note that sets out the application of the FATF Standards to virtual asset activities and service providers. To apply FATF Recommendations, countries should consider virtual assets as “property,” “proceeds,” “funds,” “funds or other assets,” or other “corresponding value.” Countries should apply the relevant measures under the FATF Recommendations to virtual assets and virtual asset service providers (VASPs). I wrote an offline Bitcoin block explorer that loads data from Bitcoin Core and allows you to explore the blockchain on your PC

Dear /Bitcoin, I wrote a set of tools to import data from .bitcoin/blocks/blkXXXXX.dat files into databases and allow you to explore the blockchain on your own PC by running ad-hoc queries of all the main Bitcoin Core data structures including blocks, TX's, inputs, outputs, addresses and more.
It's written in C++ and uses Bitcoin Core itself to read the data, so it's always 100% compliant with the latest Bitcoin release. I abstracted away the database functions, so you can implement "drivers" for any other DB system. I've been playing with it on MySQL but perhaps others would prefer Neo4J or Cassandra for nosql graph analysis.
Once the data is loaded, you can run any database query against it.
I implemented a simple reference Python interface to it so you can play with the blockchain. I made this outer layer in Python but any other language can be easily plugged in, including big data analysis systems like Spark or Hadoop.

Addresses, TX's and all other data structures are decoded by Bitcoin Core itself. The C++ Toolbox links to Bitcoin Core and uses the canonical implementation, so the loaded data is accurate. The Python reference implementation is almost 100% independent from the C++ code (except for configuration code which shares the same parameters and config file as the C++ Toolbox).
